Outreach Outdoors first event held

on Father's Day weekend

 


  

Outreach Outdoors is a national outdoor program for at-risk children, including those whose parent are incarcerate or in rehabilitation programs.   The program is geared towards kids under the age of 14, to discover the Great Outdoors.  By providing a wholesome family- oriented activities, we set a good example while encouraging a lifetime of good values and character. 


Outreach Outdoors offers camping, fishing, horseback riding, swimming, wagon rides, arts and crafts, and so much more. And, like all of our events, the activities are available for the entire family free of charge!

Outreach Outdoors

United Special Sportsman Alliance (USSA) in conjunction with Bexar County Detention Ministries, Inc. held its first Outreach Outdoors event for 18 kids and their family members in 2012.  The event took place near the town of Nixon, TX.  There was fishing, ATV rides, horseback riding, archery shoot, rustic camping, swimming, and cooking over a campfire.
